We have a program that sends a confirmation email when we create a sale. Thunderbird is set as email client. Typically, workstations bring up the Thunderbird window and email goes out and the window closes. The same program generates an email on other workstations, it stops and requires user intervention of clicking on Send. Apparently we have programmed it different in some way, but cannot determine what the difference is. Thanks for your reply.

My guess would be that your program sends synthetic keystrokes to Thunderbird to operate buttons and menus that can be activated with accelerator keys.

Could the difference in success or failure be an issue of whether the menu bar is displayed or not?
