Trying to create a calendar in Thunderbird that is editable and that syncs with iCal calendar in my iCloud account. This way when I work on my desktop and with Thunderbird, I can open a calendar that is synced with my iPhone and mac and that I can edit and that edit will be reflected in on my iPhone.

the answer is caldav. Which will see you create an on the network calendar in Lightning that is read write.

You will need the caldav endpoint, and apple do a fairly good job of hiding this. If you search on the apple.com community forums there are a number of topics where folk discuss where you dig it out of OSX and IOS. as I do not use apple, the discussion is of academic value only to me. I know you can do it, but can not do it.
