I read on the support forums that I should be able to recover my old (SeaMonkey/Thunderbird) Mail folders/msgs by copying the files into my current Local Folders directory. I renamed the old Local Folders folder to Local Folders2, shutdown Thunderbird, copied them in, restarted Thunderbird. Local Folders2 and the first level of sub-folders showed up, but nothing below them. If I click on the Local Folders2 folder (in Thunderbird) I get the busy circle. Its been over 24 hours.

How long should this recovery take? When do I assume its not working? Thank you

you can assume it is not working. but I would expect it to fail, if you place your local folders 2 "IN" the local folders folder you will do much better I think.

Local Folders is an account, but a special one. Trying to duplicate it at the same level will have a lot of traps and bugs I think. (Probably never been done, even in test)
