Windows 10. FF suddenly became very slow, almost unresponsive. Starting in safe mode fixes this problem, but there aren't any extensions installed and I have refreshed FF and turned off hardware accel.

Yep, that's probably it. I use BitDefender. Why is it that I always magically choose the software combinations that cause havoc?

Bitdefender rolled back there free versions update yesterday and initial reports seem to confirm the issue is now resolved & bitdefender can be used as normal again.
