i am a home user and used firefox for my browsing but had to uninstall it as it no longer works on the sky website, has it been changed now as internet explorer

If a plugin is used for that site, This may be your problem,

Firefox v52+ disables all plugins except for Flash Why do Java, Silverlight, Adobe Acrobat and other plugins no longer work? {web link}
