Help.About_Firefox.Check_for_updates can't update firefox from 56.0 to 56.0.1
56.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10 When I click - Help > About Firefox > [Check for updates] I get in response - Firefox is up to date but for about a week there is 56.0.1 available here https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-56.0.1-SSL&os=win64&lang=en-US
also on a side note - official Firefox Download page starts downloading online installer with unknown version - it is good to know which version I'm downloading or at least what is the latest official version (even if it is online installer) Official page never says - 1) that we download online installer 2) what is the expected (i.e. latest) version that the installer will try to install or upgrade to

Hi, 56.0.1 is primarily to change 32-bit FF users to 64-bit, so you don't need it. Also, it is being released slowly (throttled) so not all users will get it at the same time anyway.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!
but there is 64 bit version available (and 32 bit too) therefore I think for people with 56.0 64 bit update to 56.0.1 (64 bit) should be offered
and it is not just for switching 32 to 64 bit because there is a bug fixed (bug 1403353) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/56.0.1/releasenotes/
and response is empty updates section - while there is clearly newer version available
<?xml version="1.0"?> <updates> </updates>
