Why can't I send Email from address book page, can from home page.
Address Book has a place to "Write" but won't send a Email Check SMTP. If I go to "Write" on Home page it will send the Email. Problem is I haven't figured out how access My address book while starting any Email from the home page other typing in a letter of Email then it give You several options. Other Emails let You click on TO and brings up address book to select from.

HI OK but why won't send from the Address Book "Write"? Sends OK from "Write" from front page. I have Email addresses I have to look up. I my opinion it should from either place. What else do I need set up so I have this flexabilty?
if you go to account settings and select outgoing server (SMTP) you will find that your have (or should have) one for each account on your system. One will also be marked as default. When you "write " from the address book, there is no "selected account" as there is when you click write in the main window, so the default is used.
Check the default is correctly configured. If it is from a mail account you closed a millennia ago you might want to delete it or at least designate another as Default.

Try F9 in the Write window to bring up a view of the Address Book.
I always address messages by starting to type an address, rather than picking through the Address Book to find one. Why search yourself when you have a computer there to do it for you?
