My internet provider said I need to contact thunderbird to correct login problem
I have Thunderbird that came with linux ubuntu. For the past several weeks i sometimes can't login with Thunderbird, and have to go to att.net to login . I called att several times about this and they always say that Its not on there end because I have the correct account server settings.sometimes I can't get thunderbird to login for hours or even a whole day. They tell me I have to call thunderbird support but I don't think they have a phone contact This is the error I get ( Sending of password for user jeep4blu@sbcglobal.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again later.) Please help I like to have my email on my desktop. thanking you in advance "Clark"

The link works fine for me. But search ATT email secure key and look for the actually ATT site describing it. It is newly implemented buy ATT.
Maybe they only have some of their servers updated and sometimes you get lucky and find one that does not require it yet. Ask ATT. They implemented the plan.

Did the so called ATT support bother to tell you they now require you to use a secure key? https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/email-support/KM1240308
There is no Thunderbird support number. This forum is the support.
Hello, the link You sent me goes to att and has an error 404. I'm going to go there and search for secure key they did not tell me anything about it. I do get logged in once in awhile but that doesn't get it.

I don't know if it's right but I can sign in with the key in my Thunderbird login window, its to long so I used the password manager.when I turn Thunderbird on it signs in automatically. I thought I would still use password ,but this works for now.
