OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise with SP1

After the last updates (see list below) were installed , FF did not load any pages. This includes about:config, about:support, ... (about:preferences, about:addons is working only if called from the menu and not directly entered to the address bar)

I already tried reinstalling FF and also creating a new profile. Nothing helped.

When I close FF, the crash helper windows appears after a few seconds to minutes. Sometimes when running just one instance of FF a second FF-item in the task bar appears.

Please help - I need FF for certain applications, which work with neither IE nor Chrome.

Best regards & Thanks in advance!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Thanks for your reply.

about:crashes did not open when typed into the address bar.

But if I use the main menue to open "Help" > "Information ..." (sorry if not all menue items are named correctly - I use a german version here) then about:support opens and their I can call about:crashes and this link is working there.

But there I see that the last crashes were not sent, although I aggreed in sending each of them.

The computer is a citrix VM - so it's not easily possible to start it in safe mode.

In the meantime I did some research and found Bug 1433065 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1433065) which seems to fit my symptoms.

In detail, after implementing the suggested workaround (setting MOZ_DISABLE_CONTENT_SANDBOX=1) FF is working again and the issue does not occurr any longer.

But now plugin_container.exe crashes as the flash plugin is loaded ;)
