Hey,

I'm currently trying to restore my old e-mails but I'm running into the issue that Thunderbird is trying to upload the e-mails to the IMAP server which is running out of space - hence it results in failing to move all of the e-mails into the desired inbox. I used ImportExportTools to import the e-mails into the Local Folder. When trying to move them into the inbox of my account the process stops as soon as the server is running out of space due to Thunderbird re-uploading them. Preferably I'd want for them to be in my offline inbox but not on the server, I can't seem to find a setting for that though. I already tried to trick it by taking my computer offline while moving them, but that doesn't work.

Thank you

You have them in local folders. That is where they will have to stay if you do not have space on the IMAP server for them.

Are you not aware that the Inbox, along with most folders of an IMAP account, are on the server? Where do you expect the messages to be if you move them out of the Thunderbird Local Folders account and into the Inbox of your email account? Local Folders was named that way for a reason. Seems self explanatory

Nope, wasn't aware of that. The e-mail client I was using beforehand was able to do so, when configured correctly.

Preferably I'd want an inbox that has all of my e-mails from all different in it. Would you suggest that I "forward" the e-mails from the individual inboxes to the one in Local Folders? If so, what's the best way to set it up?

IMAP and POP are email standards. All email clients treat the 2 protocols the same so my guess was you were using POP before. Maybe Google POP vs IMAP and learn how they work and differ and decide what works best for you.

I suggest you change the folder view to "Unified" and let Thunderbird show you the virtual inbox.

Three bar application menu on the tools bar > folders > unified will set it. Your default will currently be ALL I think.,
