When you want to 'log out' of a website, you need to find the link that says Log Out.

Sometimes it is on the page you are viewing. And sometimes you need to click on your icon.

Click on your ID/Icon/Logo/Badge in the Upper-Right corner on the gMail.com page. A pop-up with a Sign-Out button will be there.
