How do I whitelist a website with an insecure connection?

Firefox gives me a blank screen rather than connecting me to a website. When I click on the information icon the message says 'Connection is Not Secure' and if I click on the arrow to the right a dialog box pops up that says 'Your connection to this site is not private - information you submit could be viewed by others ...". I understand and want to continue - when this website asks for passwords, etc. it uses https so I am comfortable reading content in an insecure setting. How do I white list the domain or access it using Firefox?

unless that site provides a certificate to verify it will say this. You need to contact the site and ask them to update their security certificate so you don't get this verification error.

I tried the same website using Firefox at work and was able to access it without any problem - which led me to believe that the problem was with my version of Firefox. When I checked for updates, there was a message saying I needed to restart in order to install the latest version. In the past that has always happened automatically (for example, whenever I would first open Firefox for the day) but for some reason that had not happened this time. In any case, once Firefox was updated, I could access the website without any problems. Thanks for your service on the board - thankfully my issue was resolved easily!
