What's the trick to changing the home page after installing the home button addon?

I went and put in a custom home page in the settings (Android phone). When I open a new tab, my home page loads fine. But if I click the home button, it still goes to Google.com. What gives?

2 days and no response? That's expected with google or microcrap. Didn't expect it here though. I'll just install the duckduckgo browser and not worry about this issue anymore. Firefox be gone!

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

The setting in the menu is in Firefox for Android, but the add-on thta you have installed is the work of an independent developer who (from what you are saying) has set a fixed URL as the home page and does not pick up your preference.

I recommend that you contact the developer directly through the support link on the page you downloaded the add-on from.

Good info for someone else that might stumble upon this thread. I've already removed FireFox. It is too buggy for my liking anyway.
