I keep getting a pop-up ad for McAfee security which McAfee says isn't their doing. I've scoured my computer files but can find nothing that might be causing it. I've also deleted all programs which it might be hiding under still no luck. It won't allow a screenshot to be taken of it either (like some sort of ghost) This thing pops up all the time preventing me from continuing yet it slips past all my security.

Step 1:
You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article;
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Step 2:
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link}
(There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.
