A very useful feature present in Microsoft Edge is the "Set Aside" button, which places all tabs in a collection to be stored for whenever the user wants to use them again, without bookmarking them individually and organizing them.

A very similar feature to this is the "Collections" in Firefox for Android, which allows to select and store tabs in a collection that can be labeled, and then accessed back later in a section on the home page.

Will/Can Firefox get a feature like this for desktop/multiplatform collections? Otherwise, is there any addon that replicates the function in a similar way?

This is bug 1660185 and AFAIK Moz has a plan to implement it, though there's no ETA yet.
