It's unbelievable, but this problem continues to exist: How can users make the font used to display the lists of messages and the folder list bigger. This should have a simple, easy tweak in some menu, but alas, that's not true. [Why Mozilla, Why???] So please, if you know a way to do this in 2021, TBird version 91+, please share.

Open Config. editor from Preferences/General/Indexing, change the preference layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 or 1.25 or 1.5 or 2.0 or 2.5 .... The effect is shown immediately while the editor is open.

Using Config Editor, you can set scaling to your liking by changing the value of the preference called font.size.systemFontScale

This tweak was posted in the reviews for the add-on you relied on previously here https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/theme-font-size-changer-fixed/

Restart Thunderbird after each change of that value for it to take effect.

I have a similar problem with Thunderbird 91.6. Immediately after updating to this version, everything in the main window is nearly twice as big as it was before. I don't need everything to be giant-size, so please put it back how it was before! Changing the setting for 'layout.css.devPixelsPerPx' has absolutely no effect whatsoever.
