For the last month I've been having problems with the passwords saved in Thunderbird for several Gmail accounts. I either get a message asking me to login with a new password, or it takes me to a Gmail login. After I enter the password and get my messages, I then checked my saved passwords in Thunderbirds and notice that a different password has been saved and it's about 50 characters or more!

Today I noticed that the same 50+ character password was saved for several of my Gmail accounts in Thunderbird! The same thing happens every so often with sending messages. I'll see a box pop up that asks me to enter a password to login to server smtp.gmail.com, and after logging in, a different password is saved in Thunderbird, forcing me to repeat the same steps again and again.

I'm going to start deleting the accounts in the saved passwords area and see if entering them all again helps.

Do you have any other suggestions? I've been using Thunderbird for well over a decade and this only started happening a few months ago.
