Thunderbird update 10/21/2022

I have Thunderbird hooked up to my Microsoft/GoDaddy email. I downloaded the new Thunderbird update yesterday. When I opened Thunderbird today, it is pulling all the old, already-downloaded emails from the system. I deleted the first batch and it downloaded them again. What do I do to fix this?

It's not doing this for the Yahoo account I have...just the Microsoft 360/GoDaddy email

It's actually on an endless loop of downloading. I don't have to delete the emails. It pulls about 1200 emails and starts over again about every 5 minutes and downloads the same emails.

Try turning off your antivirus mail scanner. If your account is POP that is. So I do not keep repeating myself see my answer here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1394088#answer-1542861

It's definitely a POP account but my Yahoo POP account is unaffected. Only the Microsoft 360/Outlook online account is affected. I'm not even sure what an email scanner is. I have PC Matic and can't find it.
