It could be its using more resources, or any gpu is enabled. I was having the same problem on the site https://citizenshiptests.au/ Practice Citizenship Test Questions and it get resolved. there was some extesnion running in firfox and try render quickly

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
