I am going to a domestic abuse site and they say it's not safe to be on the web looking that up so they have an app and they disguise it as a different app. The website says to hit it's a little arrow up with the line under it it's usually what you click To share some thing like your messages or notebook files. But the site says to hit that and then save to Home Screen. I'm wondering, is that even possible or is it a fake site?

I can see why you asked. That's weird for a app to be able to disguise itself normally but this app is custom created for women who are controlled and abused by men/husbands who usually check their phone all the time. So this app can change its icon to look like a innocent clock, calculator, notepad, weather & possibly other icon options so that the woman can check for information without their boyfriend/husband beating them for installing an app that helps women get away from domestic abuse/violence.

The reason their website says its not safe to look up domestic abuse information in your browser is because some people don't clear their history after doing those kinds of searches. So the abusive husband/boyfriend can find this information if they check the browser & it hasn't been properly cleared. Then they could assault or beat up the woman as retaliation. So the app tries to give you that information without using a browser. That way whenever the browser is checked, it will be clean. But you can achieve the same effect by always going into Firefox's menu and clearing the history: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-browsing-history-firefox-ios

But maybe the app makes the site easier to browse. More about the app I found a description and video of the app: "DomesticShelters.org home screen app allows you to browse the free domestic violence resources found on DomesticShelters.org discretely without capturing your browsing history and behind a password-protected masked icon."
