many months ago, Firefox began acting sluggish. Slow to start up (wheel turning); slow to shut down (wheel turning) Plus occasionally quitting. Safari was faster. I'm on an Imac 10.4.11 It's still like that, less reliable than before.

I'm on Mac G4 (mirrored doors) OS 10.4.11

Exact issue - slow to open, slow to find URLs (often takes several refreshes), slow to close and sometimes freezes. Started with last upgrade. I'm now using Safari more and exploring Chrome.

Not quite understanding the logistics of what's going on here. Frankly, Firefox seems to be functioning mostly 'normally' again.

I am just about to install a new modem, just in case that may solidify matters.

eliza talks of exploring 'Chrome.' I checked it out (Sorry 'Fox') and was told it can't be used for 10.4.11 (Mirrored doors?; what's that?)

I have dropped Opera. I do think there was a bit of a battle between Firefox and Opera. I was constantly told (even when Firefox was my default browser) that it wasn't. I did have Opera be my default for a time; I have dropped it.
