Info for all to use.

I was having problems with my ATI HD2600 graphics card. It would stop working and then it would recover; sometimes with success and some times not. The card would fail several times a day. I was using IE8 when I was having the failures. I switched to Firefox a week ago and the graphics card has been working fine since the Firefox installation. It looks like Firefox solved my problem with the stopping of the graphics card.

That will be a coincidence, Firefox does not change any drivers or software relating to the graphics card.

Thanks for the info. Some additional info. It's good to know that Firefox doesn't change anything.

I was having problems with IE8 freezing up and not shutting down properly. This would happen every day. It may be the case that IE8 was the problem with the graphics card and was creating some effect on it's operation.

All I know is that I have stopped using IE8 and Windows Live Mail (I now use Firefox and Thunderbird) and I have had no problems with my graphics card since the change. It was a noticeable change. When I downloaded Firefox and Thunderbird I received two good programs.

Keep up the good work!
