When I upload my site with new changes (adding spaces between words or letters) to my masthead, border, footer combination, it shows up fine on IE and Safari but not in FireFox (3.6.13).

The spaces between the letters of the masthead type are somewhat enlarged and the spaces between the footer words are somewhat decreased, the only thing that displays properly is the border line that separates the masthead type from the footer type.

As it is not an issue with the other browsers, am I right in assuming it is not a problem with either my web developer program (Shutterbug from xtralean) or the web server?

Can you post a link to that web page?

On a Mac there can also be other font issues. You can do a check with Font Book.

Thank You for the reply and suggestions.

I did try the reload as you suggested to no avail. I looked into the other links as well, but am not sure that is the problem, as (unless I am wrong) the issue seems to be with the way Firefox is interpreting the data as different (slightly) from the way IE or Safari which interpret it more accurately.

Also, I had a friend load the site on her Safari and Firefox and she too saw the same issue.

On comparing my web pages on Safari and Firefox with her, we noticed that there are space discrepancies on all of the pages regarding the type. What is odd is that in some instances, if one measures a line of type, it is stretched a little and in others it is shrunken a little; nothing seems to line up accurately as in my original program format. The discrepancy on say a line of Times 13 type is around an eight of an inch or so. The photos on the site are accurate.

I am rather new at all this and am not sure if this is simply "the way it is" and should let it go and accept the browser discrepancy?
