when using mozilla for facebook or ebay and other sites if i click on comments or photos a pop up box comes up saying "are you sure you want to navigate away from this pae" if i click ok it goes to a blank page. if i click cancel i can't view pics or make comments.

I believe if you look in tools/options there should be an option there to toggle off the notification to navigate away from the page you are on. There might even be that toggle on the notification itself (The "do not ask me this again" option)

This issue can be caused by one of the gadgets (Smiley?) on the Facebook page.
You will have to check that out by removing each of them until you find the culprit.
If you added or updated gadgets recently than start with those.
