How can I share bookmarks on a Windows network?
I have two computers on Windows XP peer-to-peer network. Firefox is installed on both computers but only computer #1 currently has any bookmarks.
1. How do I install the bookmarks (or profile) to a central location -- e.g., F:\Firefox on computer #1. (F: drive contains only data and is backed up daily.)
2. I want both computers to be able to access the bookmarks simultaneously (and add or organize the bookmarks). I'd prefer not to have to close Firefox on one computer in order to access the shared bookmarks from the other computer.
I am the only one who uses these computers so security is not an issue.
Thanks, Don Culp

1. Bookmarks can't be moved out of the Profile folder. You would need to move the entire Profile folder.

2. The Profile is "locked" when it is running, it can't be accessed multiple times.
You might want to consider using Firefox Sync to synchronize your bookmarks to multiple Profiles.

You can setup a local Sync server.
Weave was the development name for Firefox Sync.
