I just upgraded to Firefox 4.0 but it won't load HBO.com like my old version of Firefox could. Any ideas as to why?
When I go to www.hbo.com to access their website, all I see is black. It doesn't seem to load at all, and I have the latest version of Adobe Flash. It loads fine in IE and Chrome, and it loaded fine in my old version of Firefox

It loaded for me in Firefox and Opera but after quite a few seconds delay(Win7 FF4.01).
You could have another go but be patient. As a test you could turn off extensions like Flashblock, No Script and AdBlock Plus.
Well, I've tried disabling various extensions, but no luck so far. So very annoying. :( I guess I'll have to load up Chrome or IE when I want to visit it for now.
I tried it on IE9 and it was equally slow. Another go on Firefox was a bit quicker without (from Task Manager) any unusual demand on CPU or memory.
I presume you have JavaScript enabled - Options>Content>Enable JavaScript.
That's all from me, I'm afraid
Yes I have Java enabled. I went to YouTube and the Youtube video isn't loading properly so it might have a flash issue, but I don't know what could be causing it. All my plug ins seem up to date. In YouTube it seems like I can hear the audio but video is not loading it. It's just black.
I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe flash and still no luck so far.

Okay I solved it. I loaded Firefox in the safe mode that disables all extensions and it worked fine. Figured out by process of elimination that the Tile Tabs version 4.8 conflicted with flash. I reverted to the 4.7 version and all is well again.
I have Firefox 9. Can't load HBO at all. Just get black screen. Same thing happens with Chrome and IE9.
That is a Flash site, so make sure that you have the Flash player installed and that Flash is working properly.
Also make sure that you do not block JavaScript.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
