I recently upgraded to 5.0. I have always lived on Long Island NY. Now it appears that my location is NJ. Why?

Now when I search, lets say Home Depot, the website is showing me in NJ????? Also, when I bring up my optimum online, the weather location is showing information for NJ. Finally, searching is taking much more time since I upgraded to 5.0.

Where does this website say you are located?

There are two ways to determine "location" on the internet. The accuracy can vary depending whether it is determined by GeoLocation, for a wireless connection, or by IP Address for a wired connection. The IP Address type can vary depending on the type of "service" you have - dial-up, DSL, or cable.
