Yahoo keeps asking me to make it my webpage. I don't want to. It also wants to save my passwords. I want this to stop as well. HOW?

You have probably inadvertantly installed some sort of helper or toolbar. You need to find out what was added and remove it. You may need to identify and remove the software using Windows XP Control Panel. If you are lucky it may be an extension or plugin that Firefox is able to list under
