I was using Firefox earlier today with several tabs open, when I tried opening another tab, it crashed. Now I cannot get it to restart, even in safe mode.

hello, according to the associated bug report for the crash id you've submitted, this crash might be related to the mcafee host intrusion prevention system that hooks into your network traffic.

do you have mc afee security software installed on your pc? please try updating the signatures and program modules & in case that does not work try disabling buffer overflow protection and/or contact mcafee support for a hotfix...

The crash ID that you supplied is about Firefox 11.

Did you recently update Firefox or did you post this with another computer?

more options

both, I did post this from another computer, so I could use Firefox. Also I did attempt to update from vers. 11 to vers. 12 to resolve the problem but no luck.
