I receive the following message trying to install JAVA:

Server Problem JAVA Installer

Download File C:\Documents and Settings\DAD\Application Data\Sun\JAVA\jre1.7.0_17\java_sp.dll is corrupt

I have uninstalled JAVA and attempted to reinstall. The above is the response I receive.

I was attempting to play a game on POGO when it searched for JAVA. It came up that no JAVA was found. That is when my problem started. I have done the following:

Uninstalled JAVA and attempted to reinstall Checked the plug ins

Please advise me as to what to do.

Can you download the JAVA installer again? It sounds like your download may have failed, corrupting the files.

Which Windows version are you using?

Are you running Firefox in compatibility mode (check the Properties)?

In case of such problems it is best to delete the Java folder if it still exists after uninstalling and reinstall Java.
