Hi!
Are you using Sync to migrate the content that you have in your previous computer or have you migrated the profile manually?
Unfortunately, Sync doesn't migrate the form field information. You should be able to migrate the profile manually if you still have the previous computer handy. Learn how in this article: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
Let me know if this helps.
Best, Ibai
The only things I transferred was my bookmark settings from the old computer, In the past once I would fill out a form in FF, It would remember it next time I went to the same form. Seems also if I filled out fields such as Name, Address, City etc, it would remember that for most any other form with the same naming conventions
Hi!
What I understand is that you are filling new forms and they are not remembered. You are not trying to have the info from old forms that you completed in your previous computer.
This is probably because you are removing the history from your computer. I would recommend visiting the Privacy section in your Firefox and make sure that you have selected the option to remember history. If you want to be a little bit more restrictive and remove some of the information, you can use custom setting.
This section explains what is the box that controls this feature: Prevent Firefox from storing form entries

- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": "Remember search and form history"
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Auto complete forms only works once. I have same problem. Forms input (textbox) It use to work. Now if I close firefox and re open. I can double click the input (craigslist car search) and my old entries show in a drop down box. If I go to a differenty county, and then come back. Double click no longer works. What has happened to Firefox?
UPDATE: Got it working. Started firefox in safe mode, now autocomplete using double click on empty forms (text box) brings back the dropdown box with all previous entries, with current (last entered) on top, Perfect.
However I do not use any of the mentioned add-on's only shockwave, video downloader, text zoom cntl, and java. I'll now enable one extension at a time, and update this post when I find the offending add-on extension/plugin
The ADD-On extension causing autocomplete forms on double click NOT to work was; Extension- Full Zoom 5.8
I went to nosquint instead (better extension software anyway).
Hint, just start firefox in save mode. Autocomplete should work, then enable 1 extension at a time to find your culprit.
