A web page was loading slowly and firefox asked if I wanted to end the slow script, and there is a checkbox that says Don't ask me again. I mistakenly clicked that checkbox and clicked OK.

I DO want it to ask me again, how do I turn that back on?

You can check the browser.slowStartup.* pref(s) on the about:config page and reset bold (user set) prefs to the default via the right-click context menu.
