How can I delete the "share" bar (facebook, twitter, etc.) from the web page I'm looking at?

more options

A "share" bar comes up and blocks part of the information I'm viewing. I don't care to share anything on facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc. How can I stop this share bar from appearing? One suggestion was to go to Tools, Options, Content, and uncheck Enable Javascript.

I don't have a javascript box. Then what?

Although these tools may be created using scripting, turning it off probably would break half of the web. So this setting has been hidden from easy changing. (It's still there if you really need it, but...)

Does this problem occur nonstop on all sites, or only on particular sites? If you see it all the time, it might be a feature of one of your add-ons. As a quick test to rule out your extensions as the cause, could you try visiting the same sites in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

If it's a feature of a few websites, could you give some sample links? We may be able to suggest ways to block it on those sites.
