Can't hear MP3 files
I can't hear MP3 files in v29. This started several months ago and I've been ignoring it. But I'd like to buy some MP3s on Amazon and can't hear the samples in Firefox. They play in IE. All of my speaker settings are fine. So it would seem as if it's some setting in Firefox that's causing it. I've tried changing the setting at about:config media.windows-media-foundation.enabled to false, but that doesn't help either. I'm still using Windows XP.

Crashes or other problems with certain multimedia content in Firefox (such as Youtube videos and Flash animations or games) can often be resolved by performing the steps in these Knowledge Base articles:
On Windows Vista and above, you can disable Flash protected mode by following the instructions on these pages:

Current Firefox versions use the HTML5 media player to play MP3 files and some other media files.
Try to set the Boolean pref media.directshow.enabled to false on the about:config page to disable the HTML5 media player.
