The address wasn't understood

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (rtsp) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

You might need to install other software to open this address.

I am not a techy so please make it simple.

Thanks

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

cor el, I cleared the cache and cookies and nothing happened. Then I shut down and came back online, ran a scan which removed two cookies - though I had just done that; now I can view the videos on you tube again.

Thanks to both of you for your efforts to get me going again.

I am not 100% sure what worked, but in so far as I can guess, I would say cor el answered the question.

I have another problem and have decided I want to uninstall ONLY the last firefox update. I do not want to uninstall the entire program. How do I accomplish this? PLEASE KEEP IT SIMPLE.

more options

The last Firefox update is a security update to address a serious vulnerability in the NSS implementation regarding connecting to web server via a secure connection. You shouldn't revert this update.

What kind of issues are you encountering with the current release?

First the problem noted above, now I can not access my pictures to change my avatar. I think it was the same night that firefox updated that Microsoft also did updates and since then I have had this problem.

Microsoft updates:

9/25/14 Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (KB2972216) Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (KB2894854v2) Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2998527) Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2985461) Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2982378) Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2978092) Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2973112) Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2894844) Hotfix for Microsoft Windows (KB2977728)

I don't know which is causing the problems but I thought to undo ff might help. I am not savvy with this stuff and find it annoying.

If I do a system restore how can I get the last security update again, referenced by cor el?

more options

You should be able to undo Windows updates without having to do a System Restore.

If you do a System Restore then best is to reinstall the current Firefox release. You might want to backup your personal data in the Firefox profile folder as a restore can revert some files (.js and .ini an possibly others).

You can find the full version of the current Firefox 32.0.3 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

Not sure what I should do here. I must need the updates since they sent them?

more options

This is important security update and should be done by all Firefox users and other (Mozilla, Google Chrome) software that uses NSS.

cor-el, do I not currently have this security update? I have not removed anything yet.

If I have this security update I am going to leave things as is for the time being. I want to see how things go as I can, once again access my avatar, for some unknown reason and I can view youtube.

I can come back if things to not go as they should.

Thank you for your assistance. I appreciate you.
