PLEASE HELP!!! I did the new profile. I've lost all my extensions-especially she whole page I had on super start I also lost all my bookmarks. HELP!! I had 150 to 200 very important bookmarks I went to Carbonite and they restored them to my desktop, but they said I would have to get someone from Mozilla put them back. How can I do that? I also had The Saved Password Editor which I reinstalled, but all my passwords are gone.

The button on the troubleshooting information page does a reset and moves the profile folder to the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop. So if you need to recover data that wasn't imported automatically then you need to look for this folder on the desktop.

A reset should keep the backups in the bookmarkbackups folder, so you could check in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to see if any JSON bookmarks are available for restoring.

If you do not see them there then check the bookmarkbackups folder in the profile in the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.

Step one: Calm Down. Step two: Take a deep breath and relax,

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.

I'm sorry but I don"t understand. If my old profile is still there how do I find it. All I see is the new one I just created.

See also my reply in your other thread.

Can you clarify what method you used to create the new profile?

Did you use the Profile Manager or did you click a button on the troubleshooting page or otherwise have reset (refresh) Firefox?
