I have 10 email addresses in TBird 38.01. How can I arrange them in alphabetical order? Previous app dos not work now
The app that used to work at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/manually-sort-folders/ no longer works on 38.0.1. Why does this even need an app. Shouldn't Tbird be able to do this on it's own? Just asking. Help!

Why does it need an add-on? Seriously Thunderbird will be using more, not less of them.
I have used Thunderbird for years. It has never occurred to me that the folders should be in some other order. So their is an add-on for those that do., We are both happy.
As for the add-on not working. Have you dropped protz a line on the support email? He is generally quite responsive.
Thanks for the info. Yes I have contacted the author and am still waiting and keeping my fingers crossed. I just thought that Thunderbird would have a simple feature like this. - moving folder locations up or down standard or at least the ability to alphabetize. - I don't know why I thought that. Silly I guess.
But, yes some of us are brain damaged and need all of our bills to face the same way. L.O.L ( To use and old internet expression.) There are actually 90,487 users of this little add on and it fixes bug 193314. But seriously, with number of email accounts I use, some are just more important than others (sales, customer service for instance) so i want those on top. I want to buy your product emails are more important than "hey buddy have you got a dime" types, for instance. I want to know at a glance if I got an order but can wait to read the rest at my leisure. Know what I mean? So If my donate and bathroom cleaning email accounts comes first and fills up the top of my screen that doesn't make sense to me and makes me less not more productive. I missed a sale today for instance because I didn't scroll down to see that account.
Some people I know even like to have their email accounts alphabetized. Is that insane of what? Of course the person I am thinking of does use over 25 accounts for his 6 online businesses. Crazy world isn't it?
I know I can delete all my accounts from T-bird ( moving the folder to a temp directory first) and them put them back on in the order I want but, I have read that T- bird looses email sometimes when you do that. Crazy as it seems I like some of my files. I delete the ones I don't want.
Thanks for the heads up though! If you know of a solution that would be much appreciated too.

See that is the difference in use. The last place I look is my inbox. Any the 22 of them
What I do look at are the folders that the mail I want to see is filtered into. As I use local folders for that they are already in alphabetical order, so I feel no desire to reorder them.
