Why can't I open a particular website that requuires Flash?
I have followed all the recommended tips and tricks, including uninstalling and installing latest version of Adobe Flash, but nothing helps. Occasionally, the site will open for a very brief time, then it shuts down with a window stating the the flash plug-in has crashed, etc. The same website runs on IE and Chrome just fine...I am running Firefox 38.0.5 and is up to date.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
- make sure you have the latest Flash version:
http://www.adobe.com/special/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html - check for updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration - disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

You can set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page and only activate Flash when you need it to see if that helps.

Disabling the protected mode did no good before updating the Intel graphics driver. Now, disabling the protected mode allows it to work...Not a very secure feeling having to do a "work around" this way, but probably more secure than using IE. Thanks.
