I start FF with blank screen to avoid extra tabs. When i go to a screen like intellicast for radar it works the first time. when i try it again it loads the header of the page but no data. I have to reload it with a new tab to get it to load.

Firstly, I have a question: does it occur only on intellicast.com or on other website too?

I open the Interactive Radar page many times without the problem you describe.

Maybe it is a problem of cache or cookies.

  • Remove cache: click on menu button in the upper right, select History then Clean Recent History. Choose a time range to clear and check at least cache.
  • Open about:preferences#privacy in the address bar, in history section click on Exceptions, enter the website address (example: www.intellicast.com) and click on Block. Then save changes.
  • In the same tab, click on Show cookies, type intellicast.com in the "Address of website" field, select all corresponding lines and delete selected cookies. Then close the tab.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
