(process:2363): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' fail
I am using OpenSuse 13,1 and ThunderBird 24.2
My Thunderbird without notice, is in a crash. He is stoped and locked. He returns to that state after Linux reboot. All on the window of Thunderbird is clear, do not show nothing and the mouse is in inoperant.
I call Thunderbird on a console and i get a error message. See below:
sergio@linux-a49v:~/Downloads/thunderbird/thunderbird> ./thunderbird (process:2363): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed
What can I do to solv that problem? Thanks in advance

Thunderbird 24 isn't supported anymore, has known security vulnerabilities and shouldn't be used. Update to the latest release version (currently 38.3.0).
Now I installed the version 38.3.0-70.65.1, from OpenSuse repository
But the problem remains
Now, when I open the thunderBird, some messagens arrive, but in few seconds, all is blocked and the ThinderBird window remain like an white window, nor the mouse can turn off o ThunderBird.
Any idea?
Have you tried the vanilla version from Mozilla? https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/
I think was a malformed on data saved byThunderbird. When i start the Thunderbird, it work well by a few seconds before lock . So I took advantage of this little time to I erase a message and after that, the Thunderbirt is working and don't lock more. But now, the Thunderbird don't send messages that is foward with images into the text How I solve it?
What happens when you try to send a message with an image?
I can send send a message NEW with image, no problem. But a timeout occurs, if I try REDIRECT or REPLY a message that I received with imagens

Technically there is no difference between sending a new message and replying to or forwarding a message received previously.
So what might be causing this problem? This is happening on more than one machine. When I try to resend message that has an image, the delay is large and comes out by time out .
