Hello,

Please update to latest version and make sure that this also does not happen with extensions/addons disabled.

Was there an improvement when you disabled extensions?

hi NudeBiker

Could you please start a new thread for your question?

Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions and installed plugins.

I think it is an internal problem at Modzilla-- maybe?

A recent update to Firefox version 45.02 has resulted in my browser becoming "non-responsive " each time I open a new tab by clicking appropriate links. This seems to be a communication breakdown between internet servers, but I have Never experienced any such problems with my ISP or earlier versions Firefox, of which I have used both for several years. I can operate one window without Firefox stalling, but every time I open any additional tabs, it becomes "non-responsive" and takes several minutes to respond properly. Too slow for my preference. As I said, older versions never had this issue. If disabling Addons is a prescribed solution, I would NOT want to use Firefox as my DEFAULT browser any longer for THAT reason. I need all Addons enabled for my normal web activity.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Let’s do a full clean re-install; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Do Not remove the profiles folder.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.
