I can't find where to sign into Firefox so I can get my saved bookmarks that I use for work. My username and password that I thought I used didn't work, and when I tried to reset my password, I never got an email in my inbox or spam folder.

Thanks,

Nick G.

Such e-mail is always sent to the address on file with the website.

No password is required to start Firefox.

To open the Bookmarks Manager, press the Alt or F10 key bring up the tool bar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.

I used to be able to log into Firefox on any computer and it would have my bookmarks saved. Now it says it can only be synced, and I don't want to sync. I want to be able to get those saved bookmarks back.

You should be able to log in here, with this link.

You can also export your bookmarks to html, so you can save them offline then you do not need to log in or sync either. To save offline you can go to "show all bookmarks" > import an backup copy > export bookmarks to html.

In the menu bar Tools>Options. I can't remember exactly but I think it was in there somewhere. Seems different now. Upgrades maybe? I've had three new lap tops at work in the past two weeks, so I'm trying to get my saved websites back.

So there's no way to get any saved bookmarks from when I used Firefox on a different laptop?

Hi, a different slant on FredMcD's advice: Plug a USB flash drive into your old machine, then in Firefox, open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Export Bookmarks to HTML. Or > Backup, but note that Backup will overwrite any existing bookmarks when you restore them. Now save to the flash drive.

You can now plug the flash drive into your new machine and open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML. Or > Restore (from Backup), and navigate to the flash drive.

Or, you can use this; Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition {web link} A fully functional package of Firefox optimized for use on a USB key drive. A specialized launcher will allow most favorite extensions to work as you switch computers.
