Hi!

So okay, i wasnt syncing my PC and Mac, then yesterday i deleted some add-ons from my PC. Now i want to sync my PC's changes to my Mac.

i know i can re-enable syncing, but i am not sure how this will work?

If i have, say, 16 add-ons on my Mac, and 7 add-ons on my PC, because i deleted the other 9, will re-enabling the syncing cause the PC to add the Mac's other 9 back on? Or, will it cause the Mac to delete the other 9?

Thanks!

I have used Sync for add-ons just a few times; enough to learn some of its limitations and few quirks ... Re-enabling Sync now might produce unacceptable results. The Sync service was made to be on all the time, not to be disabled and re enabled at will. And as far as add-ons goes, it seems to favor "additional" add-ons as the user can't specify or assign a priority or "direction" to what gets sync'd where.

Quite honestly, if you re-enable Sync now you just may get those 9 add-ons that you removed from the PC back on the PC. So before trying that back up both your Firefox Profiles just-in-case the opposite of what you want happens. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

I have not tried Syncing add-ons but generally Sync tries to make all devices the same. Sync adds not deletes changes such as additional bookmarks. I would expect it to add additional addons not to delete any.
