Firefox takes a long time to load when first run
Like the title says, Firefox takes a long time to load when first run at boot. It can take as long as 3 minutes to finally load. Compare this to Internet Explorer which takes 3 seconds. Kind of embarrassing for the developers of Firefox when even Internet Explorer performs better.
Anyways, I reset the settings, and that didn't seem to help. So I did a full uninstall of Firefox using Revo Uninstaller Pro. And even after that, I searched my computer for "Firefox" and "Mozilla" and deleted the few items that came up. So I was sure my computer was completely clean of anything Firefox related. I re-installed Firefox, and it still takes around 2 minutes for the browser to finally load.
My specs:
Windows 10 Pro (x64 bit) Intel Pentium 2.5 GHz (quad core) 8 GB RAM
Firefox:
Version 53.0.2 (x64 bit)
Extensions installed:
Blur YouTube Flash Video Player
Appearance: Default
Plugins: OpenH264 Video Codec Microsoft Office Authorization Plugin Adobe Shockwave Flash Microsoft Silverlight
Hopefully, I can get this problem solved. Like I said, it's an embarrassment when Internet Explorer outperforms Firefox.

My Firefox opens in a few seconds.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
