I thought it was just slow, but now I'm stuck in the 2016 mail folder. It won't open messages there, or delete them or otherwise react. I click on Inbox, where new mail is collecting, but it never goes there. Thunderbird also won't close without using Task Manager. It's my work email! Help, please. Thank you.

Do you get a 'Not responding' error?

I've narrowed down the problem, I think. Folder "2016" (which has lots of important email) is damaged somehow. I can move between my other folders, but when I click on 2016, it waits a long time to change, then does show the contents, but I can't open any email, delete any email, select, or take any action in that folder.

Also, once I've made it to (the surface, at least, of) the 2016 folder, it won't let me leave for another folder or close Thunderbird. Frozen.

Any advice is welcome! I'm relieved to have access to Sent mail and my current 2017 inbox, but history is important.

Thank you very much.

Nancy
