I asked about youtube vids not playing correctly, and the answer i got - resetting FF - seemed to work. unfortunately, it's not asking me if i want FF to be the default browser every time i start it. whatever i click, i then get a program/app association box, which is empty. every combination of things i've tried doesn't work. the tips on another thread here, checking under Options, doesn't work either. under Startup i can untick the "check if default browser", but clicking "make default" just brings up the same Program associations box, and doesn't change the "firefox is not your default browser" message. i'm using FF56 32 bit on WIn 10 64bit [i've never been asked if i want the 32 or 64 version of FF]

TIA
