only on startup, "not responding" when getting messages
I have Thunderbird on 3 PCs, all windows 10, 1709, running windows defender only. Malwarebytes is installed, but manually run and not active on startup.
When I start Thunderbird, there's no issue with it coming online, but when I push get messages (all), for all my accounts, Thunderbird will hang, (10-15 seconds max) I'll get "not responding" in the title bar. Sometimes I'll get a script is taking too long or not responding. The script warning will cause Thunderbird to hang until you tell it what to do, and then the "not responding" appears.
I took all profile and personalization and e-mails from my desktop, and copied it to my two laptops after installing Thunderbird on them. The two laptops are set to leave messages on server. The desktop is not.
The desktop does not ever hang when first getting messages. The two laptops do.
If I leave Thunderbird running and go back and check messages periodically, everything is fine. If I shut down Thunderbird and restart it on the laptops, the issue reappears.
All three run ReminderFox, Lightning, SmileInserter Plus and Theme&Font size Changer.

Why are you clicking get messages? Thunderbird does that automatically on startup, just as it does over time.
I disable the automatic retrieval of messages.
I have all of my email password protected.
