When I click on a select menu to choose an option it either flashes up and then closes before I can select or I select an option and it closes without changing to my selection. If I hold down the left click it keeps the menu open and I can then choose my option, the dropdown closes but hasn't selected my choice of option. Attached is an animated gif demonstrating the problem

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Before I try this, I should say that I also have the Firefox Developer Edition installed and it has the same erratic behaviour when selecting from a select menu.

It might be best to remove every program and start over. You can reinstall Developer Edition later.
