Firefox will not play some videos, with the message: "We cannot play the video in this browser. Please try a different web browser". How do I fix this?
I see this with videos on twitter.com. There is nothing on the video to click on to figure out what kind of video it is. This is on Fedora Linux: I have the Open H264 and Flash plugins installed. Many other videos (e.g., youtube) play ok.
(I've attempted to upload a screenshot with this, but it won't upload.)

Here is a screenshot.
Are you able to play HTML5 player videos in general?
This page can show if you fully support the HTML5 player on Youtube for example as all check marks should ideally be blue. https://www.youtube.com/html5/
If you have two or more red checks then you may be missing packages like not having FFmpeg installed in package manager on your Linux distro.
Please provide public link(s) (no password) that we can check out. No Personal Information Please !
Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
FredMcD, the OP and image mentions the site. Basically videos posted on Twitter that uses the HTML5 player.
And how does one check out the web pages without their addresses?
I take it you do not use Twitter. This is the tweet that is in image. https://twitter.com/KeeblerElves/status/973181819771412482
