stop autofill from entering extra information
I am okay with autofill entering information in the blank that I choose. But now it tries to fill out the whole page. So if I click to enter my email address in a web form, autofill also fills out name and address blanks; usually with the wrong info. I only want information entered on the line that I click. Not on the whole page. When I start to enter information, about 30 autofill choices pop up. All of them have TOO much information. If I clear autofill, it just builds up again and does the same thing.

Open Autofill and correct any entries that need correcting. You can also tell Autofill not to fill in pages on selected websites.
Thanks, but if I correct the entries, or delete them, they come back as soon as I use it again. I want it to remember individual entries. So if I am filling in name, it only enters name, not phone number and address. On the phone number line, I want it to enter the phone number. What mine does, if I choose a name, it fills in the name and ALL associated data including phone number, address, city and zip. Since some of the data is different, it quickly builds up a list of data entries that are not correct.
Did you Save the data after changing it? You can also contact its support if you need more help.
That is the first attempt at Mozilla including a complete "auto form-fill" option inside Firefox as a default feature and I guess they over did it. "Form-fill" was only available via an extension (a number of variations over the last 14 years) since Firefox 0.9 back in 2004, until just recently starting with Firefox 58 where it needed to be turned on thru about:config for like 90% of the U.S. version of Firefox.
No options for partial - it's all or nothing at this point. That looks like an opportunity for an add-on developer to modify that feature for an email address only option which was available from "form history" in the past.
